Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of energy strategies, energy expert Yuri Korolchuk broadcast espresso TV said that from 1 January 2019 has started the process of demonopolization of the electricity market, write Ukrainian news. In particular, he noted that the regional power monopoly supplied electricity to the population and industry, and from the first day of the current year held a distribution suppliers. And separately today, there are companies that transporterowych, and which sell electricity.
The expert indicated that the number of electricity suppliers will continue to grow, and the fact that consumers are renegotiated agreements with new organizations called the success and projected positive expectations of the reform of the electricity market.
“From 1 July 2019 the plan the law on electricity market should make full. That is, it will apply to all electricity producers and consumers,” – said Korolchuk.
As for market generation, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of energy strategy said that the Antimonopoly Committee proved the regulation of the market by NKREKP that affects him, and Ukrenergo GP energy markets that provide appropriate commands to energy producers. “Accordingly, a thermal power plant a priori, as well as Energoatom, can not be a monopoly, because they actually are now regulated, are actually dependent on government organizations conditions”, – concluded the expert.
Recall From 1 January 2019 in Ukraine launched the first phase of the reform of the electricity market. Appropriate changes in the law “On electricity market”, which came into force on 11 July 2017.
